As of May I have moved on from Microsoft. I spent about 18 months there after the acquisition of Parlano (October 2007).
What's next? First off is to take some time off this summer to decompress, network, figure out what's going on in the entrepreneurial scene in Seattle, travel, and then decide what to do next. Options thus far are to hook up with a startup looking for a CTO or to start something fresh, either on my own or with some other smart people. I may stay in the collaboration space, although I am interested in doing more in areas such as Web 2.0, social media, and anything online/cloud/saas. Until then, I plan to do some iPhone app development, Python/Django, and Ruby/Rails... all part of re-energizing.
Hey, congrats! Last time a big company bought my startup, I lasted eighteen months, too.
I'll have to catch up with you soon. For now, I'm enjoying my new gig at a big company so far...
